FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

Erev Shabbat Services

Shabbat has become a way we close our busy week, take a deep breath, and re-center.  Our congregation has invited us to light the candles and say the blessings, so we'll be there!

This is an optional event for our guests, but if you're in town, we hope you'll consider joining us.  Oneg (sweet treats and a social hour) immediately following.

THE MAIN EVENT
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Bar Mitzvah

Join us as Jack helps to lead part of Saturday Shabbat services, as a demonstration of his journey into

adulthood.

He'll chant blessings,  a portion of Torah and Haftarah (Prophetic text), talk about his mitzvah work, and present his personal take on his reading (called a D’var Torah). He's worked hard for this moment!

THE AFTER PARTY
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

12:15 to 3:30 PM

The Reception

Camp Jack is in session, and we're celebrating the huge accomplishment that Jack's been working so hard for.

The NVHC Social Hall will host a "last taste of summer camp."  There will be grub in the mess hall, bug juice (for young and old) on the tables, music and dancing, and plenty of camp-themed games and treats.
